Secondly, I am not doing a favorite-and-runners-up. I am simply listing 13 of my favorite RP character friendships in roughly chronological order (and by that I mean that when I'm looking through my list of past characters, wherever my character in the duo shows up).

Nuts and insane, party of two, please! Oh my god, these two. Ky was absolutely positively nuts, and a really spectacular friend all at once. She really helped a lot when Marlene was depressed over Elle's and Autumn's deaths over Christmas hols. (Really, I feel as though I could have filled this Favorite Friends with just Marly's friends from historie: Marly & Elle, Marly & Autumn, Marly & Ky ...) The red socks!

Dorcas Meadows & Shea Lancaster

Maxi, our friends-characters are just awesome. I love that Dorcas was the only one who could understand what Shea was talking about (until Dai figured it out, but Dorcas was fine with sharing Shea with Dai). I just loved their friendship. They weren't wild and crazy like Marly and Ky were, but they definitely were BFFs.


Natalie McDonald & Romilda Vane

Eee, Natty and Romy. They were so adorable, even though Alya and I didn't play them for long. They were friends back in school when Romy took ickle Natty under her wing, and then they were roomies after school. I think the best part is that we later played their daughters as BFFs in a next-gen game, which was also very short-lived, actually. :/ BUT. Romy and Natty were indeed fun. I loved them.


Matilda Dukelow & Veronica Smethley

Okay, Roni was friends with everybody (whether or not they were friends with her), but I really loved Roni and Matilda's interactions, especially the half-finished log I found in gdocs where they were taking Mattie's daughter to the zoo. Mattie and Roni weren't too terribly alike, but somehow they just really really worked as friends.

Marly & Ro: the teenage years. They were nutso but absurdly fun, as evidenced in the passing-notes thread I linked to a few days ago. And all of Ro's comments about how he was going to ~defile~ one of Marly's younger sisters or something like that ... just pure hilarity. xD

OMG. I just flat-out loved these two. I linked one of their logs the other day, too, but then there's also journal comment threads like this one ... they just cracked me up and I loved them. I think they were supposed to be good examples for the teenagers, or something like that. GOOD EXAMPLES OF HOW TO BE AWESOME, THAT IS.

The trainees! omg, I loved them SO FREAKING MUCH. They were nuts. Their first day on squads, and they get sent to the slaughter ... actually, slaughter kinda works. xD But they were just ... epic. All four of them. Even though it petered down to just Marly and Alex (being played, that is) by the end there, Will and Ro were still NPCly-around, and even though Marly was going insane, they were still awesome friends.

I don't think I'd really call them "friends," since I don't think Seph was altogether capable of having friends. But they were both NUTS. Partners in insanity. I have a feeling that if they were turned loose and free to do whatever they wanted with no consequences ... the streets would run with blood of muggles and mudbloods and they would dance around shooting off unforgiveables left and right and cackling madly into the night. I also believe that if Seph hadn't gone insane and killed herself, this could well have become canon, given enough time (Barty would take longer to break, but Seph was already insane, so probably five minutes with the dementors would have turned her into a stupid mess).

Hehehehe, these roomies were nuts! I mean, Callie was friendly and friends with just about everybody, both girly and a tomboy, but around Ivy and Maya, she just really let loose and was ... more of a teenager than she was with anyone else. Which I LOVED. Any and all interactions between these three were golden. (Also, regarding Callie: I really want to play her again sometime. Or just any daughter of Neville. I had too much fun with her frequent mentions of "you know, my dad ... the herbology professor ... beheaded you-know-who's snake ...") There's so much I could link to for those three, but I think I'll leave it at this.


Mary Macdonald & Chase Harper

I love them. Stevie, you and I should do some kind of history log with them from before the Mulciber attack when Mary could actually stand to be touched. xD But anyway, I love them and I love the fact that neither one thinks that they need psychiatric help but both of them REALLY REALLY DO NEED IT, and their little agreement that if Mary goes, Chase'll go (CHASE! I SHAKE MY FIST AT YOU!). And I love that Chase is going to kill Mulciber when he finds out what he did to Mary. xD


Septima Vector & Barnabus Cuffe

Okay, Vee and Barnabus are kind of awesome. They're both horribly ambitious (I think they're both Ravenerins, yes?) and the prefects of Ravenclaw 7, and their interactions just always crack me up because Barnabus is so stodgy, and Vee wildly vascillates between stodgy and lenient. And, basically, they're just awesome. End of story.
