![]() Frank & Alice Longbottom Frank and Alice got left out of all my posts regarding ships. And this is primarily why: up until FtH, I never had a consistent Frank in all the times I've played Alice. At historie, we seemed to have a new Frank every month or so, if we had one at all. Alt78 was only open for a month. I don't recall much about Operation Redo's Frank, and (Nevermind the) Bollocks just wasn't around long enough. So Find the Horcruxes was the first chance I really got to truly play Frank and Alice, and we even got to play technically three stages of their relationship: engaged, newlyweds, and excited parents-to-be. Having just one Frank the entire time helped tremendously, because it let their relationship be much more stable. And Jamie, I seriously did ♥ your Frank a lot, and I was glad to play out their relationship with you, even though there was a serious lack of logging going on there, which I regret. :( Anyway. I loved their relationship. Alice was just this ... worrier. She was constantly worried about Frank (and, well, all the other Aurors and all the other Order members, but especially Frank!), and she was worried about such silly little things sometimes, too. Like worrying about the wedding night because she was a virgin and Frank wasn't. But they really really loved each other, and I really really would have loved to play them with baby Neville. And surviving the war, sanity in tact, to raise the baby in a happy, love-filled household. Also, it didn't hurt that their PBs were Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling, which not only made the above graphic possible, but also gave us many pictures for the Scar Neville For Life ("is that the table we eat breakfast on?! D:") files. xD To preface my runners-up: I have a lot of favorite couples, both in terms of dating and marriage. But I decided that I wanted to limit "favorite couple" (as opposed to favorite ship) to couples that were actually married during the course of the game (not necessarily the entire time, just for at least some portion of the game), wherein both parties were actually played. This list would have been much longer had I included couples who were just dating. Much MUCH longer. And yes, three of these four have been mentioned elsewhere, mostly in my picspam of top 5 ships. So what? ![]() Nate & Sally-Anne Cadwallader I'm really running out of new things to say about this couple. So I'll just leave it at the fact that I really loved their relationship, and I really really loved the opportunity to spend so much time on character development with Liz. ♥ ![]() Ritchie & Keira Coote Even though we didn't have long to play them before the game closed, I really loved Ritchie and Keira. As much as I love the happy couples, I also really really love the couples who have Issues, and Ritchie and Keira had a lot of those. They rushed into marriage, and while they love each other, they just fought a lot, and they both knew which buttons to hit to hurt the other one. Their's was definitely not the most healthy marriage of all time, but Keira, at least, would've been lost without Ritchie. ♥ to Khushi for playing them out with me, even if it was only briefly. ![]() Patrick & Regan Wood I love-love-loved Patrick and Regan. They were so ... wonderfully married. New enough that there was still fire (though I believe that couple would have fire all the way straight through until the end), absolutely in love with each other and comfortable around each other and already having learned a lot of the other's quirks, so freaking adorable with baby Oliver, they didn't have to spend 100% of their time with each other, but they definitely missed each other whenever they had to spend too long apart. ♥ to Kate, they really were a wonderful couple. ![]() Ryland & Audrey Fawcett ♥ to Stevie for picking up my Audrey's husband. When I was first letting the idea of Audrey percolate in my mind, I wanted her to have something of a rocky marriage. I wanted her to have rushed into marriage because of the war and be dealing with the fact that she's married to someone and is still getting to know him, and they just have trouble getting it to work. As Stevie and I talked about what Ryland is like and what their relationship was like, it just bloomed. They do love each other, they just have such different temperaments, and he worries about her and wishes desperately that she didn't want so badly to be a hitwitch, that she would take a job that would keep her safe, but she just cannot let her ambition go (she was definitely a Gryfferin). I only wish we could've played them together longer. |
