30 Days of RP: Day 16

Day 16: Favorite Setting

This is a hard one to be specific about, so I'm just going to ramble and be vague. Because, see, it's hard to pick one specific "setting" (like .. the "where" for a log, I'm assuming?) because every game has their own particular settings (except in-school HP games, which are pretty much limited to the Hogwarts/Hogsmeade area), and I've played in way too many games in way too many settings to pick one particular locale for logs, especially since it varies from character to character. Michael liked being outside, so most of his logs/threads occurred somewhere outside on Hogwarts' grounds. The bulk of Cass/Reg logs were in out-of-the-way places where nobody might stumble upon them: Astronomy Tower, greenhouses, etc.

With regards to overall game settings, I'm quite fond of HP MWPP-era games, and most of those tend to be set in-school. I'm sort of weird: I tend toward MWPP-era and epilogue-era games that are set in school, but trio-era games I prefer to be post-warts (I just get antsy trying to follow along the events of the books). Which isn't to say that I haven't had my share of post-warts MWPP-era games (FtH and Breach were both post-warts!), I just tend to prefer those kids in school. What were they like before they were thrust into war? The future DEs, the future Order members, the future Anything-For-The-Ministry folks, what were their Hogwarts years like? For the trio-era kids, how are they getting on with their lives after living through a war?

Outside of HP games, I can't really say what my favorite setting is, because all my non-HP games have been fairly scattered. For those, I'm more interested in the premise/plot than wherever it's set.
