so.
I think I might have touched nearly the entire game with Persephone's murder-suicide yesterday.

And I'd only been half-joking about how I was expecting everyone to be celebrating her death, but .... DAMN I LOVED WHAT I CAME HOME TO LAST NIGHT. :D Party at the Hog's Head with probably 99% of the DMLE and the Order getting completely wasted. And, of course, all the DEs going "srsly, WHAT THE FUCK?" Though my favorite line, I think, has to be Evan's "Sort of wish she'd either finished that last sentence or never even begun it. Left hanging like that, it's creepy."

YAY, THAT'S PRETTY MUCH EXACTLY WHAT I WAS GOING FOR! :D

Also, now that Marly is less-crazy thanks to counselling and being kicked out of the Order and Seph is dead, my headspace is a much calmer place at the moment. I also only have five characters now, since AJ left yesterday morning for an "extended vacation" in Canada.



OH! And anyone who might be interested in a sequel game to FTH after it ends in June, read here.

So, I've been thinking about what we might want to do for a trio-era sequel to FTH. As much as I'd love an in-school game, the ages of the FTH kids are too varied to really be able to do one and still have a bunch of the sprog playable. So I was thinking that, for this, post-warts would definitely be better. Here are my thoughts so far:

• Set at some point not too long after the class of 2002 finishes school, so maybe "real-time" 2002 or 2003 or 2004?
  
• I was thinking more of a social and character-development type of game, not so much the "OMG HEAVY PLOT PLOT PLOT" ... still plots and stuff, but maybe not everyone being thrust into the midst of a war?
  
• Any canon from FTH would copy over: there is no Michael Corner, Susan Bones is half-French (and a cousin of quarter-French Neville Longbottom), Morag MacDougal is part-vampire, any non-canon FTH kids still exist (Lizzie Cornfoot, Tullia and Prisca Nott, Miranda Banges, etc); this would mean having to compile some sort of list of what is already known about any trio-era kids (Millicent Bulstrode's relation to the Wolfes, for example) in case anyone not from the game wants to app (which, of course, would be awesome)
  
• FTH players would get first crack at claiming their characters' kids (Jamie would have the first choice of whether or not she wants to play Roger Davies; Alexa would have the same for Gregory Goyle if she wants; in instances where both parents are played [Chantal and Khushi for Miranda Banges], the players can duke it out for themselves, but they both get first shot over non-parent-players).
  
• I was thinking of maybe having it sort of similar to Euphoria Lane, in that it's generally set in one basic area (like the Diagon Area, complete with the lovely map that Wolfie already made for us), though maybe not just about the people who live in the area: maybe it can be set around the people who live and/or work in the area? We could throw a Wizarding World entrance to St. Mungo's onto one of the streets, to go along with the Ministry Entrance. And of course there's all sorts of residential areas on the Diagon Area streets.
  
• None of the currently-played characters would be playable.
